Keep your eyes peeled for an exciting, stimulating and thought provoking competition for college students - coming soon

The 2006 Dennis Pearce Competition will be officially launched to coincide with Youth Week at the end of this month.

As in previous years, the competition will be open to all Year 11 and Year 12 students in the ACT. This year’s competition is being expanded to encourage more young people to get involved. Students can write an essay, produce a TV advertisement or design a poster.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning entry in each category as well as a prize for each winning student’s school.

Detailed information about the competition will soon be available on the ACT Ombudsman’s website at www.ombudsman.act.gov.au.

ACT Ombudsman, Prof. John McMillan, says he is looking forward to the launch and this year’s competition being bigger than ever.

Watch this space, as more information will be released closer to the launch date.
